Grotius – we chose this name for our Chambers because we are dedicated to international law, both its development and application. And like Grotius, the architect of the Westphalian Peace Treaty, we believe in the ability of international norms that coordinate among states, businesses and individiuals to contribute decisively to peace and justice.
Grotius spent much of his working life in The Hague. Today, The Hague is the City of Peace and Justice and, fittingly, our hub.
For us, Grotius is not just a name. Rather, Grotius embodies a concept, a philosophy, a tradition. We are committed to this tradition – to shape the future.
